Post 8 Evaluation of your Blogging Experience

Hello, today I will write about my experience writing blogs in the English class, and it will be my last post of the year
I think the experience of writing blogs in the English class is a different way to improve writing,
because many times other activities are repetitive and unoriginal.
I feel that my writing skills have been developed more than with other activities, I also think that writing blogs has helped me to realize how much I still need to improve.
In the future I would like there to be more diversity of topics since many times the topics do not seem interesting

If there were a little more freedom when deciding what topic to write, the class would call much more attention. I think that writing blogs was an alternative way of doing the class, where using our creativity we were learning.

I think that in the future it would be good to combine that way of doing the class, with other activities to make it more dynamic. If you are looking for other ways to learn, writing blogs is a possibility

Post 7 A Subject you've enjoyed studying this semester

During the time I've been in university, I've studied different subjects, but the one I liked the most is prehistory.In classes we have learned about many cultures among which are the so-called mother cultures of different geographical spaces. Another thing that we do in the classes is to review the differences and similarities that occur in the processes of development of cultures, in order to recognize if they follow certain patterns.We have seen content about the construction, development and collapse of the most transcendental Andean and Mesoamerican cultures.We learn about their ways of life, ways of relating to space and among themselves, their diet, relationships with other cultures, etc.I like this subject of the university because I think it is interesting and necessary to know the different ways of life that existed before the arrival of the Spaniards.Also, I like it because it is related to the construction of our identity, recognizing mother cultures and their transcendence.I hope I can continue learning much more in this subject and that it remains one of my favorites

The expert in anthropology that I admire is Ruth Benedict, she was born in New York City on June 5, 1887. She was an American anthropologist and folklorist. Her father was a surgeon and she died when she was little. His mother, Beatrice, had to work as a teacher in small towns to support her and her sister In the Second World War, she participated as a collaborator of the United States Army.  In 1951 Ruth Benedict participated in the Contemporary Cultures Research project at Columbia University, along with Ruth Valentine and Margaret Mead. In 1946, the first female president of the American Anthropological Association was elected. I like it because his life was not guided by the social prejudices of the time. In addition Ruth Benedict is an anthropologist of great importance, who stood out from its beginnings, accompanied by her mentor Franz Boas. His works not only meant a lot for the army of the United States but also were of great relevance for anthropology and for later investigations 

My favorite photograph

This is my favorite photograph because it is a photo that was taken in a very cute place, a day in where we hear many stories and experiences of people from Paiguano, Chile and other places. The photograph was taken by a person we had met minutes before, this photograph shows the beautiful landscape, also shows our investigation group. The photograph was taken a week ago while we were doing the investigation, I like it because in that trip, I knew many places, people and experiences. We enjoy the nature and the tranquility of the Elqui Valley, Chile and also we knew other forms of life. In the photograph you see five persons, the four women are Daniela, Rocío, Antonia and I, and the man is Diego. I would like to go back to this place in a few more month and also visit more places.

I dont have a pet!

I dont have a pet because I dont like have an extra responsibility that requires so much time. When I was little I just had only pet, my dog, but one day the dog disappeared and I never saw him again :(
When I grew up, I was never interested in pets because I did not have much time, the school and extra activities occupied all my time and also never caught my attention.
Now, I would not like have a pet because I changed my city so I could not for external reasons and also because I dont like.
Does not mean that I do not like animals, I always play with my friends' pets and I love to give them love. Maybe in a few more years have a pet, I could have a dog but not cat, I dont like a cats.

My favourite piece of technology

Hello! Mi favourite piece of technology is smartphone because I can do many things, for example see memes in instagram or facebook, call to my family and friends, take photos, etc. My actual smartphone, I bought it recently because my previous smartphone stopped working. My smartphone I use it mainly for taking photos, but also for connecting to social networks and listening music. I use it all day, mainly in the nigth because is when I have more free time.

My opinion respect to the smartphone is that, for me, is very important because I use it for many things, I think that allows us to do many things that help us daily. My life without smartphone will be meaningless and bored, I could not take photos and this I´d be sad :(

My dream!

Hello! Today my post is about my dreams, I hope you like it! My dream always has been related with the children in general, for example finish with injustices and inequalities that make his life difficult. 

In the beginning I wanted study laws, but over time I decided study Anthropology because I feel that this career is a form of know different culture and learn more about how they related the persons.

My experience at university has been one good experience because I have known amazing persons and new realities, this helped me to star my new life in Santiago.

I would like find a job that allow me complete my dreams and expectations. For example I would like work in some institution related with the creation of programs that improve living conditions of children.

My autobiography

Hi! My name is Carolina Quintana. I had born in Linares (Chile), I have twenty years old. I studied in the school María Auxiliadora in Linares, and now I study Anthropology at University of Chile.
I move to Santiago when start to study. I have a little brother named Tomás Quintana and I like watching movies with him, he is my only love. My parents are Marcela Garrido and Mauricio Quintana.
 My hobbies are play de football, watch football, listen to music mainly in spanish, I like to watch meme and take photos. I like know different places, I love nature and travel.
My zodiacal sign is Leo, is one sign of fire and that says a lot about my personality.
